Magnitude.IO is perhaps my favorite (and aspirational) STEM aerospace organization. Not only do they launch CanSats on high-powered rockets and high-altitude balloons, but they also fly experiments on the International Space Station (ISS) every year. Their latest mission is scheduled for September 2024.

This year, they are sponsoring an Earth-based hackathon in which anyone can participate. The projects mimic the experiment that will fly on the ISS and provide important Earth-based “control” information for comparison. Two of the projects are very appropriate for MakerSpaces.
